Miami Hurricanes masterfully trolled ex-Gators coach Jim McElwain Saturday
No matter where you go, you just can’t escape the “Baby Shark” song that has spread like wildfire through pop culture. Unfortunately for Jim McElwain, this proved to be true on Saturday when his Central Michigan squad played at Miami.
The Hurricanes’ PA system decided to troll the former Florida coach with the song, recalling the moment in 2017 when a picture of a naked man that resembled McElwain laying on a shark went viral, with questions of whether or not that was actually the coach.
Of course, the picture was brought up at SEC Media Days that summer and McElwain went in on a rant about how it affected him.
“What it did that actually not only attacked the university, but attacked my family, when you know it’s not you,” he said. “You know, I bust chops with the best of ’em, now. And yet, when it got personal.”
While the issue sort of died during his last season in Gainesville, his ousting as coach was maybe even weirder. After making up false accusations of having death threats sent to him following a 3-4 start, athletic director Scott Stricklin told him that they were going to fire him with cause. They came to a mutual agreement and that was the end of his tenure at Florida.
As for the game on Saturday, the Chippewas came close to pulling off the upset, losing 17-12 to the Hurricanes.
I’m not sure Miami deserves to troll anyone after escaping with a five point win.
Yep, and they have still to beat a Power 5 team. Pretty dumb on their part.
Thats a game Gator fans wouldn’t care if nobody won. But, McElwain did make the comment at his Gator introductory speech that he could win with his dog at QB. Not sure what happened to his dog but if he would’ve played her he might still be coaching at UF. Glad he kept her at home, we have our guy now.
The funny thing about McSharkHumper at UF is how much better McSharkHumper’s start at UF was compared to mullet’s.
McSharkHumper was 2015 SEC Coach of the Year and won SECE Titles his first two seasons.
Yet mullet is their messiah.

Thats right, ol’ “butterteeth” whooped up on Dawgs and won back to backs with the worst team Gators ever put on a field. Beat ya’lls tails with a team that stunk. Just think how it’s gonna be when Mullen gets his own system in there, and he’s not putting out the dumpster fire (O linemen) Butterteeth left behind. I hope the flea kennel is still talking smack, cause there will be a day when it goes back on a downward trend, happens to every Dawg team ever. Why are you here anyway? Shouldn’t you be celebrating being 4-0? Played 3 weak teams and a ND team that can never, ever win a big game. You should be out humping a stuffed teddy bear or something. By golly, who let the dogs out

So you think winning a division title in the weakest eastern division the SEC has seen in quite some time, and getting blown out in the last 3 games of the season, including the bowl game, and finishing 25th in the country, is better than Mullen having a the same record and blowing out Michigan in a New Years 6 bowl and finishing #7? This is a direct reflection of your college football knowledge and further proof of your ignorance.
Dude is clearly an idiot
Smart inherited a better team than Mullen for his first year, but lost 5 games (to Mullen’s 3 in his first year).
That included some embarrassing losses – to McElwain, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Old Miss, and Vanderbilt.
Any honest person would say that Mullen has been the better coach through his first 17 games.
We’ll see where it goes from here. Going to the Championship game in your second year is a high bar, and Mullen may not get there, but up to this point he’s done the better job
DumbsOfWar is not honest, or intelligent so he will miss the point.
You think mullet will win the SECE, SEC, a CFP game and play for the NC in his 2nd season????
Yeah, you know mullet won’t crackhead.

Reading is fundamental the Dow. He clearly stated that it was a high bar and Mullen might not get there. He did state a fact that Kirby lost 5 games in his first season while Mullen lost 3. Facts and all. Crackheads need to know the difference between facts and overblown opinions.
Lets mullet at UF vs Kirby Smart at UGA…

If ongoing and repeating over and over comeback is past scores (since thats all you got) then lets really go back 30 years and repeat scores. Since 1990 the Gators have a 21 – 8 winning record vs. the Flea Factory. That will give a good indication of a track record. Also, since you love to live on the Gators page more than your own how about bringing something interesting other than just repeating a score from last year or year before. That gets old and dusty, like the last Championship trophy your team has won.
tailwhip, beating a couple of rebuilding Gator teams is the peak of their accomplishments apparently. It’s their national championship since they can’t win a real one. It’s been 30 years since they could run their mouths. They’ve got a lot of pent up frustration so they continue to gloat about a couple of games they were supposed to win no matter how pathetic it looks. When they’ve got no real comeback to something that was said, since they’re not intelligent enough to come up with something witty, they just post the score.
2 year dynasty
“Any honest person would say that Mullen has been the better coach through his first 17 games”
Then compare Mullens first 17 games as a head coach. Kirby’s first year at UGA was his first year as a HC. Mullen has been a HC for a decade. It’s not comparable.
Absolutely right there is now way to compare the two. Mullen took over arguably the worst and least talented team in the toughest conference in the country while smart took over the most talented team in a very bad sec east division. To compare the two would be beyond stupid. But there is no denying that Mullen has done a great job on the field at UF so far

Go get me DOW 36-17 and 42-7
How about 70 years. We been spanking your butts long time. How about 75-0!
Yeah my great great great great grandfather wasn’t too happy about that game. Congrats on that one. Definitely worth bragging about now LOL!!!!!
Huh? It’s not like UGA has this crazy record vs UF they are aead by 8 games. Sure you could go back to the beginning of the series but that sounds like something UM fans do when they talk about how good they are. They bring up all these NC that they never even watched their team play in
Keep crying about ankles. Lol. Your going to get a full dose of whooping Nov 2. Ankles will be your least concern.
We have the titles you are so thirsty for and thats why you are so bothered. DOW and USMC are the same person. #thatdawgdonthunt
They’re trailer trash imbreds

Hahahahahahha. No way. You really said that? Hahahahhah

Hey Jim even funnier. That way you smell what an a$$ kicking is like as you track it in.Hahahahahaha
Marshbreds……lol
And yet, Jim McElwain still can’t form complete sentences.
But how about some actual current football season discussion?
If we learned one thing this past weekend, it was that teams running up 50-60 points against no-name competition doesn’t tell us much about how good they’ll be against a good Power 5 defense. LSU is good and certainly more fun to watch this year. But take away the spread concepts and it’s basically the same team as last year. Joe Burrow didn’t suddenly develop more arm strength during the off-season.
On the Eastern front, while Jake Fromm played very well, UGA looked eminently beatable this past Saturday night. The Gator defense is faster and better than Notre Dame’s, and Kyle Pitts is very similar to Chase Claypool, who the pups couldn’t seem to stop.
I agree UGA looked beatable. Hopefully they will improve throughout the season. I hope this is a wakeup call for them.
scUM trying to troll anyone is rich. They need to masterfully try to find a coach and a team. Screw scUM.
