The Florida Gators offense hasn’t been as sharp against Kentucky’s defense as it usually is. Mark Stoops has a great plan against Kyle Trask and company.

Florida leads Kentucky 14-10 at halftime, thanks to a Kadarius Toney punt return touchdown just before halftime.

The Wildcats defensive unit has put some pressure on Trask, and that’s caused some issues in the Gators offensive timing.

Even on the first scoring drive for the 56-yard touchdown pass from Trask to Kyle Pitts, the Gators had to fake a punt in order to move the chains with running back Dameon Pierce. They would have gone 3-and-out if not for the faked punt.

Wide receiver Justin Shorter also fumbled on another Gators’ possession at mid-field, and that led to a Kentucky game-tying scoring drive.

Heisman Trophy favorite Trask is currently 11-of-15 for 144 yards and 1 touchdown.

Kentucky offensive coordinator Eddie Gran has also called a wonderful game through the first half. He’s been running the ball, eating clock and keeping Trask on the sideline.
