Report: Key Florida pass rusher to miss spring practices following foot surgery
Florida DE/LB Jeremiah Moon has dealt with injury issues throughout his Florida career.
In 2020, he missed several games as he dealt with a foot injury. He was only able to play in 4 games, recording 14 tackles (1.5 for a loss) and 1 sack.
It appears he’ll need some more time to recover from the foot injury. The Gators started spring practices on Thursday, but Moon won’t be participating, according to G. Allan Taylor:
For those wondering, #Gators DE/LB Jeremiah Moon is out for spring following foot surgery, per a program source.

In his 5 years in Gainesville thus far, Moon has recorded 102 tackles (10.5 for a loss), 6 sacks, 3 pass breakups and 2 fumble recoveries.
Hopefully, his recovery from this latest foot surgery goes well and he can play in 2021.
Sounds like he has had some bad luck.
It’s that old bedeviled Moon….
I would love to see Moon get healthy and stay healthy for an entire season. A healthy Moon, Cox, and Bogle rotation at the hybrid DE position would be fun to watch next year. Powell and Summerall are coming on as well at the position. Very deep at both DE positions as well.
Here’s to hoping a nagging injury is finally put to rest and he can play uninhibited this season.
Best of luck to him!
Hang in there! Your time will come. Just take care of that foot and you have so much talent that it will be show-cased when you are 100%. Prayers are with you, work hard and concentrate on school-work, re-hab and we will see you tear it up in the fall!
