Former Notre Dame quarterback Malik Zaire appears to be finally approaching a decision on his next destination. After three seasons of playing for the Fighting Irish, the soon-to-be graduate transfer is expected to name his new school upon graduating from Notre Dame.

According to Anwar Richardson of Orangebloods, Zaire is still considering Florida, Texas, and Wisconsin. It should be noted that Zaire is currently not eligible to transfer to Florida unless the SEC changes its graduate transfer rules during the league meetings in May. Because the Gators accepted graduate transfers Mason Halter and Antony Harrell in the past, both of which failed to receive their graduate degrees in Gainesville, Florida cannot take on another graduate transfer at this time.

In his three seasons on the field for Notre Dame, Zaire threw for a total of 816 yards and six touchdowns. While his overall numbers are not overly impressive, Zaire did get off to a terrific start to the 2015 season — throwing for 428 yards and four touchdowns in under two games of action — before suffering a season-ending injury against Virginia.
