Tim Tebow hits first spring training home run against Detroit Tigers
Tim Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner and Florida star quarterback, is back on the baseball diamond as he pursues a professional baseball career.
He’s now at spring training with the New York Mets, and while he likely won’t be with the big-league squad coming out of camp, he is getting some action this spring.
As you can see below, in a game against the Detroit Tigers, Tebow launched a home run, his first of spring training:

The Mets still lost the game, 9-6, but it was a good sign for Tebow as he continues in his quest to make the big-league club.
Tebow’s home run came in the top of the sixth inning and was a 2-run shot, part of a 4-run frame for the Mets.
