Although Tim Tebow’s spring training with the New York Mets hasn’t garnered the circus-like attention of his NFL days, he’s still very much a subject of interest.

The former Heisman Trophy winner has only four hits in 24 at-bats, which amounts to a lowly .167 batting average. Due to his inexperience on the baseball field, it isn’t surprising to see Tebow batting below the Mendoza Line, but that doesn’t make his plate appearance against Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer on Monday any easier to watch.

Tebow goes down on three straight pitches from Scherzer, and he never looked close to catching any of the fastballs thrown his way. Nobody can ever question Tebow’s work ethic or desire from competition, but at least Rocky had an iron-clad jaw to rely on.
