The officier identified the men with their ID cards to be Cleveland and Wells. Wells admitted his wrongdoing to the offider and turned over the BB gun. The two players then were arrested and booked at 3:38 a.m.

Both receivers enrolled at UF in June. Cleveland, a Houston native, rated as a four-star prospect and was the No. 2 wide receiver for the 2016 national recruiting class. Wells was a three-star prospect and is from Jacksonville.
