WATCH: Florida runs fake punt on first possession; Tommy Townsend shows blazing speed

The Florida Gators were facing a three-and-out on their first offensive possession of the 2019 season. They had a 4th-and-3 from inside their own territory against Miami.
However, coach Dan Mullen decided to make a statement, calling for a fake punt.
As you can see below, P Tommy Townsend showed off his impressive speed to get to the edge and pick up a huge first down:

That fired the Gators up, as Kadarius Toney scored a 66-yard touchdown on the very next play.
Will that end up going down as the moment the Gators took the momentum and never gave it back? We’ll see how things go for the rest of the first half.
