WATCH: Former Florida WR Chris Thompson comes up with huge catch for Orlando Apollos

The Orlando Apollos and San Antonio Commanders are locked in a tight battle in the second weekend of Alliance of American Football action.
Trailing 29-20 late in the third quarter, Orlando QB Garrett Gilbert connected with former Florida WR Chris Thompson for a huge gain.
As you can see below, Gilbert connects with Thompson for a gain of 54 yards, launching the ball down the right sideline:

The Apollos couldn’t find the end zone on the drive, but former South Carolina K Elliott Fry knocked home a field goal to cut the Commanders’ lead to six:

Since you have to go for two in the AAF, another touchdown by the Apollos would make things quite interesting. The game is being shown on the CBS Sports Network.
