2-Minute Drill: Important for Georgia to correct mistakes vs. Vandy

The Georgia Bulldogs have played one complete half of football this season. That was in the second half against Clemson, en route to a 24-point win.

An inferior Vanderbilt team that has struggled in Derek Mason’s first season comes to Athens on Saturday afternoon, and after a humiliating loss to the Commodores last year, Georgia needs to use this opportunity to dominate and answer any questions before heading to Columbia, Mo. next weekend for a game with the Tigers that will likely decide the SEC East.

Vanderbilt has had trouble stopping the run, so expect offensive coordinator Mike Bobo to ride his Heisman Trophy candidate and stud freshman Nick Chubb. However, two important playmakers in Malcolm Mitchell and Justin Scott-Wesley return for quarterback Hutson Mason, who needs a boost in the passing game.

Georgia’s destiny in the Eastern Division race is still very much alive, but Georgia has to put forth a consistent and complete performance this afternoon.
