Atlanta AAF fans can finally relax, Aaron Murray has been named the team’s starting quarterback.

The team had been playing Matt Sims under center to start the season but Murray finally unseated the former Tennessee signal caller to earn his first start heading into Week 5 of the inaugural AAF season. So far this season, Murray has passed for 292 yards, completing 24 of 40 attempts.

Adding some extra intrigue to this story, Murray’s Atlanta team will be facing the Memphis franchise, which is quarterbacked by former LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger. The last time these two QBs faced each other on the field was in college back in 2013 when they combined to pass for 680 yards, seven touchdowns and only one interception.
