Baker Mayfield on rooming with Nick Chubb during Browns' rookie minicamp: It's a 'sick joke'
The influx of young talent should help the Cleveland Browns immediately in 2018.
On Saturday, Heisman Trophy winner and No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield revealed he’s rooming with former Georgia RB Nick Chubb during the Browns’ minicamp, and he jokingly called it a “sick joke” that Cleveland’s management would make him do that.
Chubb’s Bulldogs took down Mayfield’s Sooners in double overtime of the Rose Bowl 54-48, but the two haven’t talked about it yet, according to Mayfield, despite him thinking about it every night. Oh, wouldn’t you like to be a fly on the wall when they do?

Chubb torched Oklahoma for 145 yards and two TDs, and while Mayfield had Georgia’s number in the first half, the Dawgs turned things around in the second half, overcoming a 17-point deficit. Chubb, though, is so soft spoken that he won’t jab Mayfield unless the signal caller brings it up first.
Mayfield and Chubb could be two of the cornerstones the Browns will build a winning franchise around in the near future.
