Brock Bowers would have given Larry Munson something to gush about from his booth in Sanford Stadium. But as it was, thousands of Georgia faithful hollered their support of the sensational freshman as he turned in yet another amazing performance, this time against Kentucky.

Bowers caught a second touchdown pass in the second half to give him 5 catches for 101 yards, including a 27-yard catch to begin the second half. That gave Georgia a 30-7 lead over Kentucky with 11:27 remaining in the game.

The second touchdown pass was a throw lofted from Stetson Bennett as the quarterback released the ball before Bowers turned around. It’s getting to the point where Bowers may be forcing himself into the Heisman Trophy conversation.

Coming into the Kentucky game, Bowers was Georgia’s leading receiver through 6 games, with 20 catches for 315 yards (15.8 avg.) and 4 TDs.
