Brock Bowers wasn’t expected to be this much of a contributor as a true freshman for the Georgia Bulldogs.

It’s not that the freshman out of Napa, California, wasn’t talented — it’s just the Dawgs had Darnell Washington, John FitzPatrick and LSU transfer Arik Gilbert in the mix heading into the season.

But injuries and Gilbert’s absence opened the door for Bowers and he sprinted right through it and never looked back.

After scoring an impressive touchdown against Charleston Southern on Saturday, he now has 7 TD grabs, which is the most-ever for a Georgia tight end in a single season:

With 1 more regular-season game, the SEC title game and perhaps a Playoff run left for Georgia, we’ll see how many more scores Bowers can rack up.

He’s certainly developed into quite the weapon for the Dawgs.
