At 11-1, Georgia heads into the SEC Championship Game against undefeated LSU knowing it has to win to have any chance to make it into the College Football Playoff.

While red-hot LSU is fresh off a 50-7 beatdown of Texas A&M, Georgia’s offense has struggled to post big numbers in the back half of the regular season. Although the Bulldogs overcame a slow start against Georgia Tech to win 52-7 in the regular season finale, that was against a 3-9 ACC team and Kirby Smart’s team has relied on a dominant defense to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race.

Georgia’s official Twitter account announced the three captains for Saturday’s SEC title game, and two of the three are offensive players.

Defensive back J.R. Reed and the rest of the Georgia defense have the task of stopping Heisman frontrunner Joe Burrow and an LSU offense that has put up over 48 points per game. However, all eyes may be on quarterback Jake Fromm and running back D’Andre Swift, who will certainly need to keep pace on offense.

Georgia and LSU kick off the SEC Championship Game at 4 pm EST in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday.
