CBS college football analyst Barrett Sallee joined the Matt McLearin Show Tuesday afternoon to discuss the upcoming College Football Playoff matchups, Ohio State vs. Georgia and TCU vs. Michigan.

Sallee had quite the take on the show, too. He said he thinks that Ohio State will upset Georgia in the Peach Bowl, despite the Bulldogs being the No. 1 overall seed.

“If I had to pick right now I think Ohio State upsets Georgia,” Sallee said. “I think getting those 2 running backs back (TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams), which kind of gets lost in some of the arguments, is huge for Ohio State.”

Sallee went on to say Jaxon Smith-Njigba entering the NFL Draft does not worry him because the Buckeyes have been without him most of the season.

Still, having JSN would be a bigger boon to Ohio State’s chances and perhaps make this take a little stronger, considering Georgia’s No. 2 CB would have to guard one of JSN or Marvin Harrison Jr. Emeka Egbuka is a dangerous receiver for the Buckeyes as well that could further pressure Georgia’s stout secondary.

Then again, the Buckeyes faced one elite defensive line already this season (Michigan) and crumbled. CJ Stroud even struggled against the likes of Maryland and Northwestern earlier in the season.

Here’s Sallee’s full comments.

Do you think Georgia has any chance of dropping in the semis to Ohio State?
