Charlie Condon is in the middle of a historic season for Georgia baseball. Already with a pair of records under his belt, Condon is now in hot pursuit of an NCAA record recently matched by Florida’s Jac Caglianone.

During Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, Condon delivered his 32nd home run of the season with a line drive blast to right field. That adds to Condon’s single-season and career HR records he already holds with the Bulldogs.

The blast was projected at 373 feet to the opposite field and came off the bat with an exit velocity of 105 MPH.

That HR by Condon also gives Georgia’s superstar a HR in 6 straight games after also homering in Friday’s series opener against Vanderbilt. Condon’s Friday night HR came in his very first at-bat of the weekend.

In what is becoming a season of historic long balls in the SEC, Condon is quickly approaching an NCAA record that was recently matched by Florida’s Jac Caglianone. The powerful lefty of the Gators recently went on a streak of 9 straight games with a HR to match the NCAA record set by Nevada’s Tyler Bosetti in 2021.

Overall, Caglianone and Bosetti are part of an elite group of DI players to ever homer in at least 8 straight games. The only other members of that group are Georgia Tech’s Andy Bruce (1991) and Duke’s Ryan Jackson (1994).

Can Condon reel in another record in a record-breaking season? He’ll go for his 7th straight game with a HR in Sunday’s series finale.
