After it was reported earlier this week that Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green would try to play against the Houston Texans on Saturday night, the team apparently had a change of heart.

According to USA TODAY, the Bengals will play it cautious with their star wide receiver and hold the ex-Georgia star out for the final two games of the season.

Green was selected for the Pro Bowl this year, but will most likely skip that game, too. The Bengals failed to qualify for the postseason in 2016 after losing in the wildcard round last year.

Green will finish the season with 964 receiving yards, 36 yards shy of matching Randy Moss’s record as the only receivers to amass 1,000 yards in each of their first six seasons.
