With the Cincinnati Bengals sitting at 5-8-1 with two games to go in this disappointing season, it doesn’t make sense that WR A.J. Green would want to rush back from a hamstring injury suffered a month ago.

However, the former Georgia standout will reportedly suit up for this weekend’s game against the Houston Texans, according to Pro Football Talk.

The decision to play has a historical importance to Green, though. He currently has 964 receiving yards this season. If he can get to 1,000 yards over the next two weeks, he’ll join NFL legend Randy Moss as the only two receivers to amass 1,000 yards in each of their first six seasons.

The Bengals travel to play the Texans on Saturday night. The game kicks off at 8:25 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen on the NFL Network.
