The SEC season had an exciting Week 3. The biggest was the matchup between Ole Miss and LSU in Lane Kiffin‘s return game. The game lived up to the hype, as the Rebels won 32-24 behind a 363-yard, 3-total-touchdown performance by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss.
The Super 16 poll has been released after all the Week 3 games, and the SEC has been well represented.
Texas enters Week 4 as the No. 1 team in the country. After the incredible win against Ohio State two weeks ago, the Longhorns remained undefeated with a 30-6 win against UTSA. There was a slight letdown by the Longhorns, which happens after a big game like the one against the Buckeyes.
Right behind them is Georgia, which has been one of the most dominant teams to start the year. The Bulldogs looked outstanding on Saturday, as they beat Arkansas by a score of 45-17 and were up 31-3 after three quarters. Up next for the Bulldogs is a home game against an Oklahoma team that struggled with New Mexico.
With the win against the Tigers, Ole Miss is the No. 5 team in the country. Running back Kewan Lacy left in the game, but coach Pete Golding said tests were negative and that he could have returned. The Rebels have a very challenging matchup in Week 4 at Florida.
