“College GameDay” is back in “The Classic City.” Saturday marks the ESPN pregame show’s 7th visit to Athens, Ga. – and 2nd trip in the past 3 weeks – for this weekend’s showdown of undefeated SEC East teams No. 1 Georgia and No. 11 Kentucky.

Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and former Georgia All-American and College Cootball Hall of Famer David Pollack, research producer and sports betting analyst Chris ‘The Bear’ Fallica, and reporters Jen Lada and Gene Wojciechowski will preview a full Saturday of college football from Myers Quad on the University of Georgia campus.

SEC Network’s “SEC Nation” will also broadcast live from UGA campus on Saturday – just the third time that both shows are visiting the same location in the regular season, following Tuscaloosa in 2019 (LSU vs. Alabama) and Jacksonville in 2018 (Florida vs. Georgia).

Ahead of Saturday’s show, ESPN’s Bill Hofheimer shared some stats about being at UGA, featuring the Bulldogs and the No. 1-ranked team:

  • This is the 5th time in the last 20 FBS games GameDay has been at the site of a Georgia game.
  • This is GameDay’s 7th trip to Athens. Georgia is 4-2 with GameDay present and 4-0 under Kirby Smart in Athens.
  • Corso is 4-4 when picking Georgia, but has won each of the last 4 times he’s picked the Bulldogs. He has also won the last 3 times he’s picked against the Bulldogs.
  • This is just the 2nd time GameDay has been at the site of a Kentucky game. The other game was 2007 when Kentucky lost to Florida in Lexington.
  • Saturday is 11 years to the day of GameDay being at Wisconsin when the No. 18 Badgers knocked off the top-ranked Buckeyes 31-18.
  • This is GameDay’s 410th road show and headgear pick No. 373.
