Danny Kanell makes bold prediction about Georgia's 2023 season
Danny Kanell shared more than a dozen predictions for the 2023 college football season on Friday afternoon.
Perhaps his boldest take? That Georgia will lose a regular season game this season. The Bulldogs haven’t lost a regular season contest since falling to Florida on Nov. 7, 2020.
6. Georgia loses a game in the regular season

Georgia is expected to be favored in every game this season. According to ESPN’s Football Power Index, UGA’s closest game is projected to be against Tennessee in Knoxville on Nov. 18. Per FPI, the Bulldogs have a 74.6% chance of victory in that game.
Georgia will be forced to replace several key starters from last season, including quarterback Stetson Bennett. Carson Beck has been announced as Georgia’s starter to begin the 2023 campaign.
UGA has won 29 of its 30 games over the past 2 seasons en route to a pair of National Championships. The last program to win 3 consecutive national titles was Minnesota in 1934-36.
Georgia will open the 2023 season against Tennessee-Martin on Sept. 2.
the over-under on georgia is 11.5.
to predict one loss isn’t exactly a hot take.
Exactly. UGA could lose – even with being the 99 percent machine that it is.
Yeah, that’s really not a hot take. It’s really difficult to go undefeated in any year and to do it in consecutive years is almost unfathomable. Just win the East and then cross the next bridge.
The SEC is the toughest Conference in the country. Every team, every year is subject to lose a game. Just like the Dawgs/Mizzou game last year…It was a squeaker for the Dawgs but they won. I recall the saying…
Any Team on Any Saturday.
Kanell is an anti-SEC, Florida State Homer and a hack. He’s hardly ever right on his predictions and no one is shocked by his drivel.
Tennessee? They’ll be fortunate to win 9 games this year, but Georgia won’t be one of those wins. They’ll probably beat Florida, and maybe Carolina, but Kentucky is definitely a toss-up.
As for UGA,BAMA,and LSU? Nope.
Unless CB is a total flop under center when we go to Neyland, it won’t be close.
Analyze that, Danny Boy.
