ESPN’s Football Power Index has a prediction for every contest on the 2023 slate for back-to-back national champion Georgia.

Georgia posted a perfect 15-0 record last season, capped off with a massive 65-7 rout vs. TCU in the national title game. Georgia has lost only 1 game in the last 2 seasons as the program has risen to become the standard in the sport.

With a schedule that doesn’t offer too many challenges, there’s the possibility of another undefeated run through the regular season.

Here’s FPI’s game-by-game predictions for Georgia along with the Bulldogs’ percentage chance of winning each contest:

  • Sept. 2 vs. UT Martin — 99%
  • Sept. 9 vs. Ball State — 98.9%
  • Sept. 16 vs. South Carolina —93.7%
  • Sept. 23 vs. UAB — 97.9%
  • Sept. 30 at Auburn — 88.2%
  • Oct. 7 vs. Kentucky — 90.3%
  • Oct. 14 at Vanderbilt — 95.6%
  • Oct. 28 vs. Florida — 83.3%
  • Nov. 4 vs. Missouri — 92.%
  • Nov. 11 vs. Ole Miss —86.4%
  • Nov. 18 at Tennessee — 74.6%
  • Nov. 25 at Georgia Tech — 94.7%

Based on the FPI predicting 11.4 wins and a 21.5 percent chance to win out, it seems as if Georgia is in prime position to earn the nod in the east for the SEC title game.

Georgia has at least 90 percent odds to win in a staggering 8 contests. The lowest percentage (74.6) is when Georgia travels to Tennessee on Nov. 18.

Georgia will aim to become the first program to 3-peat as national champions in the AP poll era.
