Daran Branch has had a change of heart.

The Louisiana native failed to participate in the start of Georgia’s ongoing training camp and was expected to leave the program and explore options closer to home but now multiple reports indicate Branch is on his way back to Athens.

This news was first reported by Rusty Mansell of 247Sports.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound Branch enrolled in Athens back in June. He was rated as a three-star member of the 2020 recruiting cycle, the nation’s No. 51 cornerback and the No. 29 overall prospect from Louisiana.

Branch is from Amite and played for Amite High School. He signed with Georgia over scholarship offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, Colorado and Southern Miss.

Leading up to National Signing Day, Branch flipped his commitment from Ole Miss to Georgia.
