Justin Fields was one of the crown jewels of Georgia’s star-studded recruiting class.

After Fields, a 5-star quarterback from Kennesaw, Ga., signed with the Bulldogs, Bucky Brooks, a former NFL player and scout, called Fields a “wow” player.

“He’s everything you look for in a player,” Brooks said in a video posted by Elite 11, which calls itself the nation’s premier quarterback competition.

Brooks said Fields can run on the perimeter like a running back, yet throw like a polished NFL quarterback.

“He’s one of, if not the most complete, quarterback prospect we’ve ever evaluated,” said Elite 11 President Brian Stumpf.

Fields has the ability to run a 4.5 second 40-yard dash, and was also compared with former No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston. Joey Roberts, an Elite 11 scout, said he gave Fields the highest grade he’s ever given out. The “rare talent” also drew a comparison to Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.

Fields was rated the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect, according to the 247 Sports Composite, and Georgia coach Kirby Smart echoed the praise of the scouting community.

During a press conference this week, Smart referred to Fields as “one of the Alpha Dogs of the Alpha Dogs. He took over The Opening. He won a lot of games. He made throws. And he did it all while keeping a calm, cool, presence that is kind of unmatched. He’s never real high, never real low. He’s really exciting. He can win the game with his feet but he can win the game with his arm.”
