Georgia held a halftime lead over Alabama earlier this season, but the Crimson Tide used a big second half to cruise to victory.

If Georgia beats Florida in the Cocktail Party on Saturday, the Bulldogs will be the likely winners of the SEC East, so they could get a second chance at Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

On Wednesday, ESPN analyst Jesse Palmer said he thinks Georgia would have a chance of pulling off the upset (via 247Sports):

“If I look at Clemson, Bama, and Ohio State, and I ask which of these three teams has the best chance of still losing, I would say it’s Alabama,” Palmer said. “Getting that rematch with Georgia, I know Georgia’s defense gave up 41 points, but that was with Jaylen Waddle, who had 161 receiving yards. He’s not going to go, and if Stetson Bennett takes care of the football, I could see Georgia upsetting Bama.”

There’s a long way to go before we get to a potential SEC title game rematch, but Georgia will be eager to get another shot at the Tide.

We’ll see what happens in Jacksonville this weekend first, though.
