Former Georgia LB Rian Davis has found his new team. After 4 seasons in Athens, Davis is going back home to his home area code in central Florida.

Davis, a native of Apopka, Florida, will continue his college football career at nearby UCF. Davis announced his commitment to play for Gus Malzahn’s program on Instagram Monday evening. The Knights are entering their first season as members of the Big 12.

A former 4-star recruit and top-100 prospect, Davis was with the Bulldogs from 2019-through-2022. He played in 23 games.

Davis dealt with numerous injuries in his UGA career, playing in 9 games over his first 3 seasons, with 7 of those appearances coming during the 2020 campaign. Last season, he played in 14 games, recording 15 tackles.

Davis only needed 1 week to decide on UCF. He entered the transfer portal on April 17.
