James Coley was a hot name this offseason, as Jimbo Fisher attempted to lure Georgia’s receivers coach to College Station to be his first offensive coordinator at Texas A&M. We now have a good idea of why the offer failed for Fisher.
According to Georgia’s spring media guide, Coley is now co-offensive coordinator in Athens, along with Jim Chaney — last season’s offensive coordinator. Coley is also listed as the program’s quarterbacks coach.
Georgia begins spring practice in Athens this week after winning the SEC Championship in 2017. Georgia will conclude spring practice Saturday, April 21 with the annual G-Day Game.
