Georgia dips into Virginia to land commitment from 4-star linebacker

Kristopher Jones added to Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class when the Fairfax, Virginia linebacker over the weekend committed to the Bulldogs.

The Under Armour All-American has a reported 24 offers and took official visits to Florida, Georgia and Michigan State, and then made the call. He’s ranked the No. 9 linebacker in the country in the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 2 player in the state of Virginia. He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, and was recruited to Georgia by Glenn Schumann.

Georgia has a long line of talented linebackers in recent years, including Nakobe Dean, Monty Rice, Roquan Smith, Channing Tindall and Quay Walker. Jones hopes to be the next star.

Jones is is the 26th commitment of Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 1.

Georgia has 9 top-100 commits in its 2024 class thus far, including 4-star TE Jaden Reddell, 4-star defensive linemen Joseph Jonah-Ajonye and 4-star wide receiver NiTareon Tuggle. Georgia has commitments from 3 5-star prospects and 17 4-star recruits in its decorated 2024 class.
