Georgia may be facing a true freshman quarterback for the 2nd week in a row as it is set to take on South Carolina on Saturday.

While the Gamecocks have not announced whether Colorado State graduate transfer Collin Hill or newcomer Luke Doty will start, Doty made a strong case for himself after stepping in for the benched Hill during the Gamecocks’ loss to Missouri.

There’s no question who the Georgia starter will be: JT Daniels, who broke the 400-yard mark in his debut last Saturday against Mississippi State. The Southern Cal transfer’s performance should be the source of plenty of optimism for Georgia fans moving forward as the Dawgs look to draw closer to nailing down a spot in a New Year’s 6 bowl while looking to avoid a 2nd straight upset loss to the Gamecocks.

It’s also the 1st time Kirby Smart and Mike Bobo, his longtime friend and former roommate at Georgia, have met as head coaches. Ahead of the game, the Bulldogs released their weekly hype video:

Kickoff between Georgia and South Carolina is set for 7:30 pm ET on Saturday, with the game to be televised on the SEC Network.
