With hopes of claiming the SEC East and winning their third SEC championship under Mark Richt, Georgia’s schedule sets up very nicely. The Bulldogs face just four AP preseason top 25 teams, and their only crossover opponents are Auburn and Arkansas.
Georgia opens with two top 20 matchups, against Clemson and at South Carolina. After that, the only other preseason top 25 teams the ‘Dawgs will face are Missouri on October 11 and Auburn on November 15. The Bulldogs avoid LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, and the rest of the SEC East outside of South Carolina and possibly Florida is expected to struggle.
Georgia will likely be favored in 10 games, and if they can win those games, they’ll be in the driver’s seat for the SEC East.
