SEC road trips against veteran quarterbacks are never easy, and the newly minted No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs know about that this season.

They have a difficult test Saturday against Missouri and red-hot QB Drew Lock, which will be tough, but the Dawgs are also ready. They’ve already dispatched South Carolina and Jake Bentley on the road, and now they want to finish their September road trip two-step with a win in Columbia.

Lock has been on fire so far, leading the Tigers to a similar 3-0 start by throwing for 1,062 yards and 11 touchdowns with only 1 interception. He’s a sure-fire first-round pick in April’s NFL draft.

Here are five things I want to see from Georgia this weekend against Missouri:

1. Some pass rush, please

This is about the only area where we can criticize this team through three impressive victories. And even though the defensive line has been stout against the run, they haven’t been getting opposing quarterbacks to the ground. So far, the Bulldogs have just one sack.

“It’s probably fair to say we haven’t pressured much. Obviously, based on the statistics, we haven’t pressured a whole lot, but I don’t know that we’ve held back on any,” Georgia coach Kirby Smart said. “I mean, we’re a run-stop-first team, and we haven’t had a lot of opportunities. Like I said after the South Carolina game, I didn’t think that we rushed the passer real well and affected the quarterback. I don’t think we had many opportunities last week.” This week, that has to change. If Lock gets time, he can be very dangerous.

2. Bounce back if you fall behind

Complete and utter domination is the only way to describe what the Bulldogs have done for the first three games. They have never trailed in any game, and they’ve only even been tied at 0-0 for a grand total of 8 minutes and 41 seconds. They scored 4:18 in on Austin Peay, 47 seconds in on South Carolina and  3:36 into the game against Middle Tennessee.

It’s much easier to play with a lead, so it will be interesting to see what happens if Missouri strikes first — or strikes often. It can happen, because the Tigers offense is legitimately good. I’m curious to see how the Bulldogs handle a little adversity.

3. Continued exceptional play from QB Jake Fromm

Quarterback Jake Fromm has been nearly perfect through three games, so good that he’s keeping the talk down about freshman sensation Justin Fields. Fromm is 37-for-46 passing (80.4 percent) with 6 touchdown passes and just 1 interception.

This might be the first game where he’ll find himself in a shootout. It’s going to be interesting to see how he handles that. The way he has been going, I’m confident he will do well. Missouri’s defense has been struggling despite the three straight wins.

4. Another pick for Deandre Baker?

Georgia’s sensational cornerback has had an interception in two consecutive games, so why not make it three? He’ll get plenty of chances, because Lock will probably throw it at least 50 times.

Georgia’s secondary was a concern coming into the season, but it has been great so far. J.R. Reed and Richard LeCounte have been great at safety, and freshman corner Tyson Campbell has been holding his own. This will be a different test, though.

5. Special teams makes the difference again

We asked for the special teams to make an appearance last week, and all Mecole Hardman did was return a punt for 70 yards and a score. Georgia has a decided speed edge in this game, so flipping the field on special teams would be a good thing.
