Georgia completed a rare feat in epic fashion on Saturday. The Bulldogs trailed No. 5 Arkansas 8-4 heading into their last at-bat. UGA walked it off, scoring 5 runs on back-to-back home runs. Adding to the fun, it’s the first time the Razorbacks have been swept since the 2018 season.
With the bases loaded and nobody out, Connor Tate went deep for a game-tying grand slam.

The game only lasted 1 more pitch. Parks Harber ended it by going over the wall in center, securing a 9-8 win.

Georgia won the first 2 games of the series 6-5 (Thursday) and 7-3 (Friday). The Dawgs may look back on this weekend as the series they turned the corner.
After some tough losses in SEC play, UGA is now up to 7-11 in conference contests. If the season ended today, Georgia would be 1 of the 12 squads to go to next month’s SEC Tournament in Hoover, Alabama. Three wins over a highly-ranked Arkansas team also provides a huge boost to the Bulldogs’ RPI for potential NCAA Tournament seeding.
Up next for UGA is a home midweek game against Georgia State on Tuesday. The Dawgs then go on the road to face an Ole Miss team that is struggling in 2023 after winning last year’s College World Series.
