Georgia added a major prospect to its 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs landed a commitment from Daniel Calhoun, who is one of the top prospects in the state of Georgia. He chose the Bulldogs over programs such as Alabama, Texas, Auburn and Tennessee, amongst others.

Calhoun is an elite prospect nationally. He’s the No. 98 overall player and the No. 6 offensive tackle in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 15 player from Georgia.

He attends Walton High School in Marietta, Georgia. He’s listed at 6-foot-6, 355 pounds.

Calhoun took an official visit to UGA back in early June. He also made trips to Texas, Tennessee, Auburn and Alabama before he made his final decision.

Georgia now has 23 commitments in the class of 2024, including 4 from offensive linemen. Calhoun is UGA’s top-ranked recruit at his position to this point in the cycle. The group sits at No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
