Before committing to the Georgia Bulldogs, star LB Roquan Smith was actually committed to the UCLA Bruins.

However, he flipped to the SEC squad and hasn’t looked back, becoming one of the top defenders in the country and leading the Bulldogs to the SEC title.

The chance he passed up to play in the Rose Bowl — UCLA’s home stadium — was a tough one, but as the Bulldogs prepare to head to the iconic stadium to take on Oklahoma in a College Football Playoff semifinal game, he said the Rose Bowl doesn’t stack up to Sanford Stadium:

The Bulldogs hope the Rose Bowl will be good to them, as it won’t be easy to take down the high-powered Sooners, but with Smith and the defense playing as well as they did against Auburn in the SEC title game, anything is possible.

Will Georgia fans make the trip to Los Angeles to support their team? That remains to be seen, but based on how well the Dawgs traveled to Notre Dame earlier this year, it isn’t out of the question.
