Georgia loses former blue-chip cornerback to transfer portal after 2 seasons in Athens
Georgia cornerback Julian Humphrey has decided to enter the transfer portal, according to a report.
On3’s Hayes Fawcett was first to share that news on Tuesday evening. This is the final day for players to enter the transfer portal during this window while maintaining eligibility for 2024.
Humphrey was a 4-star prospect in the class of 2022.

Humphrey was the No. 81 overall player and the No. 9 cornerback in the country for his class, per 247Sports Composite rankings. A Texas native, he was also the No. 13 player from the Lone Star State.
Humphrey played in 12 games over the past 2 seasons with the Bulldogs, including 9 contests in 2023. He totaled 11 tackles and 1 pass deflection during his time in Athens.
Georgia is set to bring in another talented group of defensive backs to its roster in 2024. The Bulldogs signed the No. 1 recruiting class in 2024, including 5-star defensive backs Ellis Robinson IV and KJ Bolden.
Humphrey will have 3 years of eligibility remaining at his next program.
