Georgia is pulling ahead of Florida late in what has been an instant-classic in Jacksonville.

After Florida tied the game at 20-20 midway through the 4th quarter, Carson Beck and the Bulldogs responded with a masterful drive to re-take the lead. Beck engineered a 7-play, 75 yard drive that ended in a touchdown pass to Dominic Lovett.

The score gave the Bulldogs a 27-20 edge with just 4:01 left on the game clock. Here’s a replay of Lovett’s big moment:

That wouldn’t be all, however. Georgia’s defense picked off Aidan Warner on Florida’s ensuing drive. The Bulldogs built their lead up even more with a 4-yard touchdown run by Dwight Phillips Jr. just a couple of plays later.

It’s been a tough day for Florida, who is playing with a third-string quarterback. DJ Lagway had to be carted off the field late in the first half after suffered a serious hamstring injury. Warner, who is in his first year with the program.

Georgia is looking for its fourth consecutive win over the Gators. A loss would move Florida to 4-4 on the year with games against Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and Florida State still remaining.
