Georgia releases depth chart ahead of UNC game
The Georgia Bulldogs have released the week 1 depth chart ahead of Saturday’s game against North Carolina.
The first thing you’ll notice is Kirby Smart didn’t name a starting quarterback, and the other news is that Nick Chubb has been cleared to play.
However, the depth chart doesn’t reveal if Chubb will start.
Alabama transfer Maurice Smith is listed as an “OR” with Rico McGraw on the Bulldogs’ STAR position. That’s something to keep an eye on.
Here’s the depth chart:

I didn’t see Mecole Hardman Jr in there. Doesn’t mean he’s not playing he’s just behind other guys that’s starting. I’m guessing. Same thing with Nauta and some of the other Freshmen that they recruited.
Yep. That TE list surprised me, too.
Your punter is your backup QB?
If you believe the “OR’s”, he could potentially be the starting QB and starting punter.
That wouldn’t be wise to do, but Coach Smart is the coach and if he wants to do it he can lol, but probably would be his last game as a head coach if they was to do that. I’m trusting in that coaching staff to get Georgia where they need to be.
You read this… but didn’t pay attention to a UGA game last year?
He’s not the only Georgia QB that can punt, either… Think Eason averaged over 40yds/punt in HS. Brice could punt in the League if he’d concentrate on it…and it’s pretty nice to have a guy punting who has top tier arm talent and could deliver a fake w out the typical ducks flying… Def gotta play safe against him.
I think the ORs at the receiver are more personnel than who is going to play receiver. I think Godwin and Davis serve better as x and y receivers. Z to McKenzie and the rest fall in line.
Same thing for mike and will. Hence Reggie Carter at both spots. I think they haven’t fixated on who fits better there (yet).
