Georgia fans are ready to line the streets, and university officials have released details for the upcoming national championship parade.

The championship ceremony on Saturday will begin with gates opening at noon at Sanford Stadium, and the parade will move down Lumpkin Street to Sanford Stadium at 12:30 p.m. with a Dawg Walk at 1 p.m. and a formal program set for 2 p.m.

Tickets are complimentary and will be available throughout the week leading up to Saturday. The campus will operate on gameday procedures with campus opening at 7 a.m.

With pent-up celebrations 41 years in the making, look for a huge turnout for Dawg fans, as many of them got practice only a couple of months ago with the Atlanta Braves championship parade.

There’s plenty to celebrate, and Athens should be packed as much or more than it is for any big game over the years.
