Georgia has set a date for the annual G-Day spring scrimmage in 2023.

In an announcement on Georgia’s alumni website, the program announced G-Day will take place Saturday, April 15 in Sanford Stadium. It will provide fans their first glimpse of the team heading into the 2023 college football season as the Bulldogs look to produce an improbable 3-peat as national champs.

The scrimmage will feature a number of intriguing storylines this time around, most notably on the offensive side of the ball. Stetson Bennett was the starting quarterback for Georgia’s run of back-to-back national titles, and the team will be looking for his successor.

On the defensive side of the ball, Georgia must replace another group of elite NFL prospects. That group is headlined by a projected top-5 pick in defensive lineman Jalen Carter.

All those questions are unlikely to get answered during spring practices, but G-Day will at least give fans a glimpse at the team and some of the potential key players heading into the 2023 season.
