Greg McElroy liked what he saw from Georgia’s offense in its dominant win over Tennessee on Saturday.

The Bulldogs crushed the Vols in every aspect, but what McElroy liked the most was Georgia’s offense.

“Georgia is flexing their offensive muscle,” McElroy said on Always College Football on Tuesday. “They were without some of their playmakers, without a key offensive lineman, in a hostile environment, after a really poor start, another one, by the Georgia defense. But that’s their 3rd win against a ranked team in a row, this time on the road. They destroyed Tennessee. It was their 28th-straight win, and clenched their 3rd-straight unbeaten season in SEC play.”

McElroy said Carson Beck has continued to develop, and Saturday was just another example of how explosive Beck can be for the Bulldogs.

“Carson Beck continues to play efficient football,” McElroy said. “298 passing yards, 3 touchdowns, including 210 in the first half. But the big plays down field man, that’s what’s been such a huge difference for Carson Beck.”

The Bulldogs were dealing with injuries in the game, but it didn’t matter. Ladd McConkey was in a limited role after an ankle injury against Ole Miss, wide receiver Rara Thomas suffered an injury in the game offensive lineman Tate Ratledge also went down with an injury.

“It didn’t have an impact at all,” McElroy said. “That’s what was most remarkable. Tate Ratledge goes down, oh man that’s a big piece to be without. Carson Beck wasn’t sacked and the pocket got better and better as the game went along.”

Now Georgia is looking to close out the season with a win over Georgia Tech on Saturday before facing Alabama in the SEC Championship.
