A familiar face has resurfaced in Athens as former All-American linebacker Jarvis Jones has landed a role on Kirby Smart’s Georgia staff.

The Bulldogs recently released their media guide for the upcoming season and listed among the support staffers was the former standout outside linebacker. Jones is officially listed as a “student assistant – defense” in the media guide.

During his two seasons of play in Athens, Jones started his career at Southern Cal, Jones racked up 155 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, 28 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Bulldogs. He was a nightmare coming off the edge in the Georgia uniform, and if he can successfully teach his technique to the younger generation, the Bulldogs will undoubtedly improve their sack production from a season ago.

Also of note, J.T. Dooley is listed as a student assistant on Georgia’s offensive staff. J.T. is the grandson of legendary coach, Vince Dooley.
