Joenel Aguero, elite safety, top-35 recruit, announces SEC commitment
Joenel Aguero is heading south to play for the defending national champions. The elite safety out of Massachusetts announced his commitment to Georgina on Saturday, via his Instagram account.
The 6-foot, 195-pounder is rated 4-stars, the No. 3 safety and No. 34 prospect overall in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. Aguero, who has 27 scholarship offers, visited Georgia, Florida, Miami and Ohio State, in June.
Aguero was named one of the top performers at the recent “Future 50” camp.

Aguero is the second-highest-rated commitment in Georgia’s 2023 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 3 on the Composite with 17 pledges. He’s the fifth commitment of the month for Kirby Smart’s program.
