Georgia QB JT Daniels has been busy lately landing endorsement deals to capitalize on the new name, image and likeness deals in college sports.

Zaxby’s announced it has partnered with Daniels in a press release, and said Daniels is the first NCAA collegiate athlete to partner with Zaxby’s, which is based in Athens, and will serve as a brand ambassador for the 2021-2022 season.

Daniels will make appearances at corporate and philanthropic events, as well as in advertisements. Daniels will also share Zaxby’s-branded content from his personal social media accounts.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Heisman hopeful quarterback J.T. Daniels from the University of Georgia for the upcoming season,” said Zaxby’s CMO Joel Bulger. “His leadership qualities on and off the field are remarkable and something that aligns well with our brand. We welcome J.T. to Team Zaxby’s, a brand that has strong ties with UGA and deep roots here in Athens.”

The Zaxby’s news came a day after Daniels reportedly signed a 6 month exclusive NIL trading card deal that pays him $100 per signature, Darren Rovell of The Action Network reported. ESM, which is repping him, says with 50 percent royalties on signed and unsigned cards, it could reach 7 figures. He plans to share half his earnings with teammates.
