The term “ACL injury” is not what any football player wants to hear.
But it appears as though former Georgia All-American Justin Houston is dealing with one that could put his status for the 2016 season in doubt.

The good news is that is was not a complete tear, which likely would’ve required reconstructive surgery that would have put him out of action for quite some time.
But even with this vaguely-termed scope treatment, the Chiefs appear to be preparing for the worst. The team trainer put a timeline of 6-12 months on the recovery, and Chiefs coach Andy Reid is unsure of when he’ll get his star linebacker back.

Houston was an All-American linebacker for Georgia in 2010, and has four Pro Bowl selections under his belt through the first five seasons of his NFL career.
