As Georgia gears up to face LSU for the SEC title on Saturday, the Bulldogs will need all the pieces they can get to bolster an offense that has struggled at times in conference play this season.

Georgia will need a balanced attack led by junior running back D’Andre Swift against an LSU defense that has been playing with confidence over the past few weeks. Kirby Smart discussed Swift’s impact on Saturday’s game as he has dealt with a nagging shoulder injury in recent weeks.

“I’m excited to see him go play,” Smart said, per Marc Weiszer of the Athens-Banner Herald. “I have an expectation he’ll play well.”

When asked if Swift is at 100%, the head coach was unable to give a direct answer.

“I think it’s hard to measure from practice,” continued Smart. “At this point in the season, you don’t go out there and do live drills, tackle and hit and do all those things. We practice against each other.

“He’s practiced. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do.”

It is a must-win game in regards to Georgia’s College Football Playoff Hopes, and a tall task for the Bulldogs’ offense to keep pace with the high-flying LSU offense led by quarterback Joe Burrow.

LSU and Georgia kick off at 4pm EST in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday.
