Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs pulled off another blowout win on Saturday afternoon, taking down Mizzou 43-6.

The Tigers were on the doorstep looking to score on the final drive of the game, but came up just short thanks to a Georgia defensive stand.

After the game, Smart spoke with ESPN reporter Katie George, saying the defensive stop helped the Dawgs hit their points goal for the week:

“We met our points goal another week, which is important to them,” he said. “I thought the offense did a great job in the second half coming out and scoring on the first drive. We didn’t have as many defensive snaps, but I was really pleased with how our guys finished.”

As far as the play of QBs JT Daniels and Stetson Bennett IV, Smart praised their ability to get the ball down the field against Mizzou:

“I thought our guys were explosive,” he said. “We struggled a little more in the run game, but people continue to do that and take away the run game. We’ve got to be able to be explosive and throw shots, and they did that.”

What did he like about his team’s performance? He credited the energy from the Bulldogs. Now, the team only has 1 home game remaining:

“Lotta energy, lotta enthusiasm,” he said. “We’ve got one more home game. Next chapter should be better.”

Next up for No. 1 Georgia is a trip to Tennessee to take on a dangerous Vols team. That game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. Eastern time next Saturday on CBS.
