Kirby Smart had his team fired up after Georgia’s win against Kentucky on Saturday.

The Bulldogs’ head coach praised his team for being a “wrecking ball” and getting a physical, dominant win over a solid SEC opponent.

“Wrecking ball! Wrecking ball! That offensive line was the biggest wrecking ball I’ve ever seen,” Smart said in the locker room after the game. “One of the most physical, best performances against a really good quality team. We played our brand of football, and y’all came out and did it. I respect the leadership of this team.

While Smart believes his team still has room for growth, he told his team that Saturday was a step in the right direction.

“We still aren’t where we want to go, but we’re starting to see some indications,” Smart said.

Saturday’s dominant win over the Wildcats was a reminder of how good Georgia still is even if it might not look like the same team from a year ago. If the Bulldogs continue playing how they did on Saturday, a 3rd-straight championship could be theirs in just a few months.

Now Georgia has another chance to assert its dominance as it takes on Vanderbilt this week before getting into some games against top SEC teams in November.
