Georgia is getting a boost with some of its 19 commits already joining the program as early enrollees on campus.

Coach Kirby Smart revealed during a press conference on Monday that four players are practicing with the Bulldogs as they prepare for Texas and the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.

JUCO transfer Jermaine Johnson is among the four players, alongside OL Clay Webb, DT Tramel Walthourr and DB D.J. Daniel. They can make their pledges official beginning on Wednesday when the Early Signing Day period opens.

Webb, a 5-star, and Daniel, a 4-star, are among the recent commits to put Georgia at No. 1 in the country for the 2019 recruiting class.

In talking with reporters, Smart said part of the practices are on improving the Georgia program and its players, and that six to seven practices are focused on that, while six to seven practices are focused on Texas.

Since Georgia had several freshmen play early last year, this gives the team a boost not only for the Sugar Bowl, but as these freshmen acclimate themselves to the college game to make the transition next fall even easier.
