Kirby Smart shares latest on 2 injured Georgia players heading into South Carolina game
Georgia head coach Kirby Smart spent the beginning of his Tuesday night press conference providing injury updates on defensive tackle Jordan Davis and cornerback Tyson Campbell.
“Tyson is running really well,” Smart said. “But he still has not had contact and the pressure you need from getting some contact.
“We think Jordan is going to be fine. He was able to run out and do some things.”

Davis suffered a left ankle injury early in the first quarter against Tennessee this past Saturday. Campbell sustained a foot injury against Arkansas State on Sept. 14 and hasn’t played since then.
It sounds like Smart is indicating Davis will be cleared to play, but the status of Campbell is a little bit more uncertain. Campbell tried to practice last week but wasn’t able to.
Georgia will host South Carolina this Saturday at Sanford Stadium in Athens. Kickoff will be at 12 ET.
